Folsom Art Association Members Show 2014

I was extremely excited to enter a piece of my art into this show as I had just recently joined the Association. This would be the very first piece many of the members of the Folsom Art Association had ever seen of my work . I wanted to create something that would give them a glimpse of who I am as an artist.  The piece I created is titled, Live In Joy.  I had an amazing time creating it and it really flowed into existence. It is a Mix Media piece incorporating wire, paper, sheet music, quilted images and words upon a vintage box.

I am honored to have won First Place in the category:
3D Artwork

Things are a bit scary around the art room today...

It's May and summer has only just begun and

I am working on fun things for a show I am doing in September!

Can you guess what show it is?

Come back and see more as the days grow shorter...

A Real Family of Paperdolls!

My younger brother Jay came to visit this week and spend some time with our mother.
I wanted to send home a little gift to his beautiful children
so I sat down to create a little paperdoll/articulated toy for each of them!
Jay has two sets of twins in his basketball-team-size  brood!
(I had fun making these while enjoying their beautiful smiles!)

Happy Spring!
